Why join us?

We have fun! From our Isle of Man trips to fun swim nights, we have a culture full of happiness, care and laughter. We love swimming and we value the impact swimming has on young people.

Worsley ASC, based at Worsley Leisure Centre, is a successful, not-for-profit club with a rich history and family values. Everyone who joins Worsley feels that they are part of a special community and family, where no child is left behind and all are offered the same experiences to develop, regardless of their starting point. Worsley is a superb club, whether you are coming to the end of swimming lessons and aren't ready to leave the sport, or whether you choose us as a second club to gain competition experience alongside a squad. We are proud of each and every one of our members past and present, from Olympians to casual swimmers who join us just because they love to swim. Our team of qualified coaches alongside a committee of wonderful volunteers are always there to support you and ensure all members are happy, having fun and able to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.

Established in 1937, we have a proven history of success in developing swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Competition experience from the age of 9 as we take part in 'mini' galas with Bolton & District and Manchester & District throughout the year.

A team of superb Level 2 ASA Qualified Coaches, many of whom have grown up swimming with the club.

We're a special community and family run by volunteers. We look after all members, old and new.

We currently accept swimmers who are currently in Stage 6, 7 or higher. Swimmers in Stage 6 can join our waiting list to ensure they can join us straight away in Stage 7. If you're unsure as to what this means, swimmers should be able to swim at least 25m of all four strokes comfortably, without breaking stroke.

We train every Thursday evening from 7pm - 9pm at Worsley Leisure Centre.

We currently have three training groups, however we will be expanding this (along with our session days and times) as we begin to move out of the pandemic.
